FAQs
Hopefully we can answer your questions here...
Age & Commitment
From what age does Centre Stars take new students?
Our Little Stars class is aimed at 3+ years and our Growing Stars class is aimed at 6+ years. However, we are more than happy to cater to your needs and therefore if your child is 6 years old, we can be flexible with the class they attend, depending on their confidence and experience.
Can I try Centre Stars before committing to a full term?
We currently offer a complimentary trial which allows you to attend one of our classes completely free! If you then decide to enrol (which we hope you will!), term fees will be payable.
Cost & Term Duration
How much does it cost to attend Centre Stars?
The cost per term for Little Stars and Growing Stars is £110. This works out as £9.16 per class for 12 classes.
How long is a term at Centre Stars?
There are three terms a year and each is 12 weeks long without a break for half term.
Class Days & Length
When does Centre Stars run?
Currently, all our classes run on a Saturday morning. As time goes on, we intend to launch many other classes (some not just for the pupils!) so watch out Mums and Dads!
How long does Centre Stars run for each week?
Little Stars and Growing Stars both run for 1hr 15mins.
Breaks & Uniform
Will there be a break?
Each lesson includes 10-minute break in which we encourage everyone to have a small snack and a drink of water to build their energy back up and use the toilet facilities. Please note; students must bring their own snacks and we also have a strict ‘no nut’ rule due to potential allergies. If your child does have any other allergies, please let us know so we can accommodate them.
Does Centre Stars have a uniform?
For Health and Safety reasons, we ask that children wear Jazz shoes. They are the perfect shoe combining comfort and safety and are therefore ideal for our stars to run around and dance in! However, for the first few weeks, trainers are acceptable. A Centre Stars Performing Arts Academy t-shirt is also compulsory and can be purchased from us directly, for an intro price of £12.
Absence & Notices
What should I do if I am unable to attend my usual Centre Stars class?
If, for whatever reason, you cannot attend a class, please let us know as soon as possible. This is particularly important as at the end of every term we demonstrate our hard work in a presentation or show and wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on the fun!
Qualifications & First Aiders
Are your Centre Stars teachers qualified?
Yes! All our teachers are current or ex-industry professionals with extensive training in Performing Arts and are all DBS checked. Our fun and fabulous teachers also have years of teaching experience behind them so you’ll be learning from the best!
Will there be any trained First Aiders on site whilst lessons are taking place?
Yes.
